The Walking Dead Season 1

The first season centers on Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes, who was shot in an altercation with three criminals. His injuries result in his slipping into a coma for an indeterminate amount of time, after which he awakens into a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, which the survivors colloquially call "walkers". Rick discovers that his wife and son are missing and, after meeting Morgan Jones and Jones' son Duane, heavily arms himself from the police station's armory and sets off on a perilous journey for Atlanta, Georgia, where the CDC is rumored to have set up a quarantined safe-zone in the city and where his family may be. However, he soon discovers that the city has been overrun with walkers and no longer is safe. After being rescued from a horde of walkers by Glenn Rhee, Rick and Glenn's associates, who were in Atlanta to scavenge, escape the city.

A few miles outside the city, Rick's wife Lori and his son Carl have been hiding away from the walkers with Shane Walsh, Rick's former colleague and best friend. They have established a camp with a small group of other survivors from around the country. After being rescued in Atlanta by members of the group and being reunited with Lori and Carl, Rick assumes a command position with Shane and must take responsibility not only for his wife and son but for the survival of the group as well. Part of the group goes back into Atlanta to recover a bag of weapons Rick left there (and to rescue Merle Dixon, who they had left handcuffed on a department store roof). But on their return they find that the camp had been nearly overrun by walkers. In hopes of finding medical treatment for an injured member, some of the group decides to return to Atlanta and seek aid from the CDC.

In the CDC, all but one staff member (Dr. Edwin Jenner) have fled or killed themselves. Dr. Jenner explains his research into the cause of the "zombie apocalypse". But the CDC building is not the haven the group believed it was. The next day, lack of fuel for the generators causes safety protocols to begin, which will result in the destruction of the CDC. Although they are nearly trapped in the building, Carol reveals a grenade she took from Rick's clothing, and the group is able to use it to blow out a window. Dr. Jenner explains that the French may have found a cure, as they were the only nation whose scientists stayed in their labs. Nonetheless, Dr. Jenner elects to stay in the CDC despite the impending explosion. Before the group leaves the building, Dr. Jenner whispers something unknown into Rick's ear. Andrea and Jacqui decide to stay with Jenner as they have lost hope. Dale refuses to leave Andrea behind and elects to stay as well, so Andrea reverses her decision if only to save Dale. She and Dale escape just before Jenner and Jacqui are killed by the building's self-destruction.

Crazy Stupid Love

Clever dialogue, endearing characters and plenty of wit helps make this ensemble romantic comedy stand out without being too cloying.
Directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, (who also worked on the Jim Carrey-Ewan McGregor comedy I Love You Phillip Morris), with a script by Dan Fogelberg, this romantic comedy explores the idea of soul-mates through a series of romances between three different generations.
The film wastes no time kicking off. During a dinner, Emily (Julianne Moore) tells husband Cal (Steve Carrell) that she wants a divorce. Cal is devastated, moves out and goes to bars for solace. Big time player Jacob (Ryan Gosling) takes Cal under his wing, helps him dress up and soon Cal is scoring with the ladies.
Of course, since this is an American movie where the family unit is sacred, Cal pines for Emily, but their wrong decisions keep them apart.
Toss in another couple of crushes and romances, between Cal’s son (Jonah Bobo) and their babysitter (Analeigh Tipton), who has a crush on Cal, while Casanova Jacob also has an eye out for Hannah (Emma Stone), and it’s a stewing pot of trouble.

Synopsis:

Cal Weaver gets the surprise of his life when he learns that his wife Emily cheated on him with a coworker, David Lindhagen and wants a divorce. After moving into his own apartment, Cal begins frequenting a bar night after night, talking loudly about his divorce, until he attracts the attention of a young man named Jacob Palmer. Jacob is a womanizer who successfully beds women each night, although a young woman named Hannah recently rejected his advances. Taking pity on Cal, Jacob agrees to teach him how to pick up women. Jacob takes Cal shopping, outfitting him with an entirely new wardrobe and begins teaching him the art of seduction. As they spend their evenings at the bar together, a friendship begins to blossom.

On Cal's first attempt to seduce a woman he meets a teacher named Kate. She initially rejects his awkward advances, but eventually they sleep together at his apartment. In the following weeks, Cal manages to successfully seduce multiple women, although he remains troubled by his crumbling marriage. He only sees Emily again at a parent teacher conference at his 13 year-old son Robbie's school. They almost reconcile but the teacher they are meeting with turns out to be Kate, and Emily learns of Cal's recent womanizing. She leaves in disgust and begins dating David.
